Team Muresan
Team Muresan is an AAU basketball team based in Northern Virginia, founded by former NBA star Gheorghe Muresan.
After a long career playing basketball at the highest level, Gheorghe wants to help the next generation of basketball players succeed. Team Muresan will focus on teaching the game of basketball the right way.

Tryout and Team Information
Team Muresan will hold tryouts on Saturday, March 7th. The location will be in Ashburn, VA and will be announced shortly. Team Muresan players will have one team-practice per week and an optional skills training session. Tournaments teams participate in will be determined by each individual team. If interested in attending the tryout or are not able to attend the tryout, but interested in playing for Team Muresan, please fill out the form below. Gheorghe Muresan
At 7’7”, Gheorghe Muresan played in the NBA for seven seasons earning the Most Improved Player Award in 1995-1996. A native of Romania, Gheorghe led the NBA in field goal percentage during the 1996-1997 season. Before being drafted by the Bullets, Gheorghe averaged 18.7 points, 10.3 rebounds and 2.8 blocked shots while playing professionally in France.
Since his retirement from professional basketball in 2002 he has coached top AAU teams in the area. He also currently serves as the Vice President of the Romanian Basketball Federation.
Coach Adrian Singletary
Adrian Singletary has served as the Head Basketball Coach and Trainer at the Giant Basketball Academy.
He graduated from Frisco High School in 2012 and was named 2nd Team All-District. He went on to play for New Mexico Junior College where he was part of the JUCO NAIA District and Regional Championship team.
He has worked as a youth coach and trainer since 2011. He has trained top players currently playing at the NCAA Division 1 level and the G-League.
He will serve as the Director of Team Muresan.
